  1. I love all 3 of these shows. I am so sad about the death of Gary! He was very blunt and had a dry wit about everything and I loved it. Did his dog perish with him in the fire? I will miss them. God bless his family and his tv family! He will truly be missed!! 🙏🏻

  3. Port Protection and Life Below Z…best shows on tv. Family oriented…(some iffy language) but what’s new….educational…fascinating…gorgeous scenery. A truly honorable way of life. Will sure miss Gary. He was my favorite. Went out exactly how he wanted to. Said they would take him off the Island in a body bag. They did. Will never be forgotten

I watch all the different Alaska show but Port Protection is more personal. Kimbe is entertaining & her husband. Always building something! Sam is a superstar & Squibb! Very smart, constructive guys! Please bring it back soon. I’m lost without Port Protection! The only other I watch is Life Below Zero because I love Sue Aiken, Andy & Denise, & Jesse with his huge team of sled dogs that he races in the Iditirod! I like Agnes & Chip but the girls need to marry their babies father’s!

  15. Not sure what it is that attracts me, maybe the remoteness, maybe we all want to be self-reliant; maybe we all want to get away from the crime and dependency of urban living? Whatever, I enjoy the show even when someone is just catching a fish or cutting down a tree or planting a garden! It beats most network shows by far!!
