The View Hosts Evacuate Due to Fire on Tamron Hall Show

What, did the Topics get too hot?

Nope. It was a grease fire in the kitchen at the Tamron Hall show. This mishap shares a studio with ABC‘s The View, causing an evacuation Wednesday morning. Tamron Hall had to quickly explain and roll a rerun.

The View‘s hosts managed to return in time. They walked in to Billy Joel’s “We Didn’t Start the Fire.” Quite the entrance, huh?

After, Whoopi Goldberg took a moment to clarify. The fire started next door at The Tamron Hall Show. The New York City Fire Department found the culprit: burnt food on a stove, says EW.com. Then, the View crew shared their own evacuation stories.

“I was coming in from the airport,” Ana Navarro shared. She clicked her Zoom link for a Hot Topics meeting, only to find a dark, empty screen with flashing lights. “Holy hell!” she thought.

Alyssa Farah Griffin reflected on the scare. “It really made me understand my priorities,” she said. Once she knew all the hosts were okay, her next thought? “Where is my glam team?”

In a video, Hall shared her side. “We had a grease fire in our kitchen,” she began. They were prepping for the live show, audience waiting. “But as my friend Debbie Smith says, ‘Sometimes life be life-ing,’” Hall remarked. Thankfully, everyone was safe.

Life, indeed, be life-ing.
