Rosamund Pike is set to star in a new Netflix series called Thumblite.
Thumblite, unfolding in Silicon Valley, dives into the tangled web of power struggles, ambitions, and rivalries among the tech industry’s elite and their teams. It aims to show how these influential figures and their associates fight for dominance in the world’s most potent industry.
The series is created by Scott Z. Burns, known for works like The Informant! and Apple TV+’s Extrapolations. Burns will also take on the roles of showrunner and executive producer. Rosamund Pike will be an executive producer along with Scott Galloway, Greg Jacobs, Michael Ellenberg, and Lindsey Springer.
Pike is also recognized for her role as Moiraine in Prime Video’s adaptation of The Wheel of Time. Filming for Season 3 concluded last fall, with its release expected in 2025.
At last year’s New York Comic Con, showrunner Rafe Judkins shared that Season 3 of The Wheel of Time would largely follow the plot of Book Four (The Shadow Rising) from Robert Jordan’s series, with some elements from Book Five (The Fires of Heaven). He hinted at more Forsaken characters making an appearance and said the season would delve into Dreamwalking, a power to enter others’ dreams.
Fans are excited to return to the Two Rivers and see new cities like Tanchico and Rhuidean come to life on screen for the first time. Judkins also mentioned that Season 3 would explore the Aiel Waste, Aiel culture, and Aes Sedai politics at the White Tower.
The new season promises to introduce different styles of channeling from various cultures and will feature the Sea Folk, a seafaring group famous for their trading.
We can’t wait to see what surprises are in store!
