Quantum Leap Cancelled: Raymond Lee and Cast React

Quantum Leap stars Raymond Lee and Caitlin Bassett were all praises for their stint on the NBC drama. Sadly, it got the axe after just two seasons.

Lee took to Instagram last Friday. He wanted to shout out a massive thank you to all the QL fans. “Your support was felt,” he said, emphasizing how much it meant to them.

“It’s been an incredible journey,” Lee continued. He talked about the pride they felt in the show and the stories they told. Plus, he made some “really awesome friends.”

Lee mused about the future. He hoped that if someone else discovers the time-travel tech, they’d continue the mission. “May they find us still trying to fix the past,” he added, a bit whimsically.

Caitlin Bassett echoed the sentiment. On Instagram, she bid farewell to the fans. “Thank you for this amazing journey,” she expressed, tagging NBC and Universal TV for the opportunity.

She quoted a QL super-fan, Matt Dale: “Be excellent to each other.” It’s a simple yet profound message.

Season 2 wrapped up with a bang. A two-hour finale on Feb. 20 revealed a twist involving Ben’s return. But, as fate would have it, Addison ends up taking his place in the past.

The finale wasn’t just about plot twists. It also saw Georgina Reilly and Susan Diol return as Janis and Beth Calavicci. A nice nod to the show’s history.

So, there you have it. Despite its cancellation, Quantum Leap left a mark. Its cast and fans alike will surely remember it fondly.
