Quantum Leap Cancelled: NBC Ends Series After Season 2

Quantum Leap has made its final jump.

The show, starring Raymond Lee and Caitlin Bassett, won’t return for a third season on NBC.

Quantum Leap’s second season didn’t pull in big numbers. It averaged 3.6 million viewers and a 0.44 demo rating. Compared to NBC’s other dramas, it was at the bottom in viewership.

Season 2 was quite the rollercoaster. Ben came back after being missing for three years. This led to a lot of drama, including a complicated breakup and new romances.

The season wrapped up with a two-hour finale. It introduced a code that could bring Ben home, but with a twist. Addison ended up in the past with Ben, setting up an intriguing scenario.

The creators had big plans for Season 3. They envisioned it as a new chapter, with a beginning, middle, and end. They hinted at a lighter tone and more humor.

Sadly, the show’s journey ends here. Deadline reported the cancellation first.

Our 2024 Renewal Scorecard has been updated to reflect the show’s cancellation.
