Jonathan Majors Sentencing: No Jail Time Explained

Jonathan Majors has been sentenced to a year-long, in-person domestic violence intervention program. This news comes from The Hollywood Reporter.

In related stories, there’s a buzz about Majors’ recent legal troubles. One headline reads, “Jonathan Majors Found Guilty of Assault and Harassment; Disney/Marvel Drops Actor From MCU.” Another shares, “Jonathan Majors Opens Up About Assault Trial in GMA Interview: ‘I Was Absolutely Shocked’ by Guilty Verdict.”

The sentence was handed down five months after Majors’ trial ended in a guilty verdict. He could have faced a year in prison for reckless assault and harassment.

Interestingly, he was found not guilty on two other charges. These were intentional assault and aggravated harassment.

Following the verdict, Disney and Marvel decided to cut ties with Majors. He was removed from his role as Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The allegations against Majors were serious. Grace Jabbari accused him of assaulting her in a car, leading to “excruciating” pain and a fractured finger.

Majors’ arrest had immediate repercussions. The U.S. Army dropped him from their commercials, raising doubts about his future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Despite rumors, Majors did not appear in the season finale of Disney+’s Loki. “That report was crazy,” said Loki executive producer Kevin Wright, dismissing the speculation.

Wright also clarified that no footage was cut due to Majors’ legal issues. The story viewers saw was the one the creators intended to tell, with no plans for a larger MCU arc involving Majors.
