Daredevil Born Again: Ayelet Zurer Returns as Vanessa Fisk After Recast

Vanessa Fisk is making a comeback.

Interestingly, it’s been over a year since the news broke. Disney+’s Daredevil: Born Again had a casting shake-up, replacing Wilson Fisk’s wife Vanessa with Sandrine Holt. But now, a set photo from the New York production hints at a twist. Ayelet Zurer, familiar to franchise fans, has stepped back into Vanessa’s shoes.

This casting reversal is a direct result of the show’s creative overhaul. Midway through production, after Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige reviewed the early footage, changes were made.

Zurer is no stranger to the role of Vanessa. She portrayed the character throughout Season 1 of Netflix’s Daredevil series and made a return for a few episodes in Season 3. Her TV resume is impressive, featuring roles in YOU, Legacies, Moonhaven, and Law & Order: Organized Crime.

Daredevil: Born Again wrapped up production earlier this month. Yet, its release date remains a mystery. Marvel keeps casting details under wraps, only sharing them through official channels.
