Chicago Med Reunion: Brian Tee and Colin Donnell Return – See Photo

Brian Tee, once a familiar face on “Chicago Med,” made his way back to the NBC set this week. Interestingly, he wasn’t alone.

An unexpected guest was there to welcome him. It turns out, Tee is in the director’s chair for a Season 9 episode of the series. This episode is set to air in the spring.

He got a bit of in-person support from Colin Donnell, another original cast member. “So I’m directing my episode of Chicago Med and guess who made a surprise visit,” Tee shared on Instagram. He added a photo of him and Donnell, captioning it, “Great to see you old friend.”

This isn’t Tee’s first rodeo with directing on the show. He also directed an episode in Season 8. This was shortly after he made his final appearance as Dr. Ethan Choi.

Donnell, on the other hand, said goodbye to “Med” at the beginning of Season 5. There’s been some chatter. Could Donnell’s visit hint at a comeback for Dr. Connor Rhodes?

Well, according to insiders, there are no current plans for him to return on-screen. However, Donnell has mentioned he’s open to the idea of coming back.

“I loved my time on Chicago Med,” he said in an interview back in 2022. He praised the crew and cast, noting the many changes since his departure. “But yeah, why ever close a door? I had such a great time, and I have such a fondness not only for the whole universe of the Chicago shows, but I love the city of Chicago itself so much. If it ever came a knockin’, let’s see if the schedules work out. It’d be fun to revisit that guy.”

In a world where TV characters come and go, fans often hold onto hope. Hope that their favorites might one day return. Even if it’s just for a brief moment.
