The Democratic National Convention wraps up on Thursday, with Kamala Harris accepting her nomination for President.
“Our convention is a chance to share our party’s story with America — not just what we’ve done with Biden-Harris, but how Harris-Walz plans to build on that success,” said Minyon Moore, the Convention Chair. “It’s a simple story that will connect with Americans everywhere: Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are fighting for you and America’s future, while Donald Trump is only looking out for himself.”
The DNC is taking place at Chicago’s United Center from Aug. 19-22. Last month, the Republicans had their convention in Milwaukee, where Trump was confirmed as their nominee.
Live coverage of the Democratic National Convention starts again at 7 pm ET on Thursday. You can watch the official livestream below. Highlights will be added as they happen.
Here’s what’s happening on the final night of the DNC, including who will be speaking and where you can watch it on TV.
THURSDAY’S THEME
For Our Future – America can’t afford to put Donald Trump back in the White House — because a second Trump term would be even more dangerous and more extreme than the first one. But the choice we face in November isn’t just about us versus Donald Trump. This election is a fight for the future. Vice President Harris and Governor Walz will lead America into a brighter, more hopeful era.
THE HOST
Each night of the DNC has a different celebrity host: Tony Goldwyn on Monday, Ana Navarro on Tuesday, Mindy Kaling on Wednesday, and Kerry Washington on Thursday.
THE SPEAKERS
Kamala Harris will speak on Thursday night. Other speakers include Gabby Giffords, Mark Kelly, Leon Panetta, Ruben Gallego, Gretchen Whitmer, Adam Kinzinger, and Roy Cooper.
