Versailles is a biography TV show created by Simon Mirren, David Wolstencroft and is produced by Capa Drama, Incendo Productions, GéTéVé Productions and Banijay Studios France. The television show stars George Blagden, Alexander Vlahos, Tygh Runyan and Stuart Bowman. Versailles first aired on Canal+ on November 16, 2015. So far, there have been three seasons. The series currently has a 7.9 out of 10 IMDb rating based on 12,503 user votes.
Unfortunately, Canal+ has officially cancelled / ended the series. There are no plans for season 4.
Regrettably, Versailles has been officially cancelled by Canal+. Season three will be the final season. Canal+ has yet to make plans for the next season, but we can never be sure. As of April 2024, season four has not been planned or scheduled.

A truly great show/seriers of a portion of French history, beautifully and intelligently portrayal of that period in history. Fascinating presentation of the personalities and events that were very real and in some cases changed world events. It should be brought back, it has very few detractors. As good as anmd I some respects equal or better than Game of Thrones.

There has to be a political conspiratorial reason that affects some of today’s world events. This is a great show that didn’t deserve such ending. When started they knew it was going for 4 seasons. With such a success why the abrupt ending. There’s some creepiness in the decision to cancel.

I bet it is expensive to make. I am pissed that the market is for weird series such as Horror, Sci Fi, Fantasy, Super Heroes, the more unreal stories, more watchers. Too bad new generation is not eager to watch real stories.

I Thinkbthe show was awesome. I don’t feel that it was sex driven or raunchy it self. Not near as much as outlander. Outlander is way worse. There are other shows worse then this. I felt that the show was amazing and it me looking for more, even dou g my own research on king Louie 🤴. Sad it will not aor anymore. Please make another season.

It’s an Absolute feast for the eyes, so enjoyable. Why on earth would you cancel something so good when there’s so much shite on TV? Hope they reconsider – I really looked forward to it weekly and rationed myself (rather than bingeing) thinking there was more to come!
