Michelle Williams is set to star in a new FX limited series. The series is called “Dying for Sex”.
Williams is not just acting in the series. She will also be producing it. The series is an adaptation of a Wondery podcast.
The script is penned by Liz Meriwether and Kim Rosenstock. Meriwether is known for her work on “The Dropout” and “New Girl”. Rosenstock has credits on “Only Murders In the Building” and “Single Parents”.
The news was reported by Deadline. “Dying for Sex” is a story about a woman who leaves her long-term marriage. After being diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer, she begins to explore her sexuality.
She is supported on this journey by her best friend. The casting for this role is yet to be announced.
In other news, Aidy Bryant is set to host the 2024 Film Independent Spirit Awards. Bryant is a veteran of “SNL”. The awards will be streamed live on Sunday, Feb. 25 at 2 pm PT. Viewers can watch on the IMDb and Film Independent’s YouTube channels, and across other social platforms.
Prime Video has renewed “Clarkson’s Farm” for a fourth season. The farming show, hosted by Jeremy Clarkson, will premiere its third season next year.
Netflix has released a full trailer for the limited series “Griselda”. The series stars Sofia Vergara, known for her role in “Modern Family”. Vergara plays the real-life Colombian drug boss Griselda Blanco. All six episodes of the series will be available on Thursday, Jan. 25.
