  1. I could not sign up for a notice of a new date for series 9 but I just love this program and all the characters. Of course Doc Martin himself is a most enjoyable character and a wonderful actor. He at times shows sensitivity but keeps it all inside himself.

  2. My husband and I absolutely love this show. Can’t wait for it’s return this fall (2017).

    I have never posted before.

  3. That’s so sad Series 9 will be the last one. I’m heartbroken. It’s the very best series I’ve ever watched. Just love every one of the cast.

  4. The deadpan, sarcastic humor of Doc Martin is so typical of English comedy and yet it has this heartwarming, vulnerable side with all the quirky locals and their individual stories. My husband and I can’t wait for Season 9. We are absolutely hooked. British born myself, I have introduced this series to several American friends who appreciate this kind of humor. I know it has to end eventually, but we are not ready for that to happen just yet!!!

  5. I’m hoping for the return of this wonderful show, for 2018. I’m hoping it will not be cancelled, as I see there is no schedule yet. I love the British shows. They are the best of tv. I hope these characters show up in another movie.

  6. I feel like a Crack dealer ( ok, I exaggerate ) I have enlightened many friends and family to my friends and family in Port Wenn.
I gave Dvd’s of the show for Christmas.

I am bereft we need season 9 Now! Then of course we need 10,11, and so forth to infinity. Please.

  7. I love this BBC production. We signed up for Acorn TV just to watch this TV series. I have binged watch Doc Martin non-stop since the middle of April is is now almost the middle of May, 2018. The Series has no violence, sex or bad language. I am considering buying the DVD set.

  8. Here in the US we love the program. I get it from netflix. I would hope that the producers see the need to keep it on and do series 10, 11, 12 and 13.

  9. I have bought the entire set–years ago–and added 7 and 8 this year. Watched the first ones a second time–we’re retired now so, like kids, we forget how the shows went so can easily watch them again! I feel now that I am going through Doc Martin withdrawal! We would watch it in the evening, before bed, and end up watching more and more and more–at the end of each episode, you want to know more so you watch another one! Very addicting and genuinely good acting and learning more about the Brits.

  10. Are you kidding me???? Where is season 9? This is such a wonderful and successful show. Why don’t they air season 9?

  11. Hurry up and get the new series on the air. We’re all awaiting it. Keep the series going before the actors all change with age. This is the most refreshing and enjoyable show I have seen in ages.

  12. This show is refreshing to me. I, by accident came a across an episode where a man ‘s hand is caught in some contraption..I never seen it before .. I hope I did not miss season 9. I am addicted to this show. I saw it all in Netflix, but it’s not there anymore otherwise I would see all episodes again and again. Please bring this show back…we need more programs like this. God bless those who came up with these series.

  13. I am an American through and through,,,,But I LOVE British TV…Especially Doc. Martin…Cant wait until season 9 comes out…Just got through with season 7 & 8 that I missed…Love ALL of the players on Doc Martin!!!!! Hurry Hurry Hurry!!!!!!1

  14. I am an American through and through,,,,But I LOVE British TV…Especially Doc. Martin…Cant wait until season 9 comes out…Just got through with season 7 & 8 that I missed…Love ALL of the players on Doc Martin!!!!! Hurry Hurry Hurry!!!!!!

  16. I love the Doc Martin show and all the actors. I am anxiously awaiting season 9. When will it be out? Please, please don’t stop at season 8. Hope Doc Martin will be returning soon. I see it on Saturday night on the PBS station. Sue Ervin

  17. I am a physician in Kentucky. I have a daughter with autism and I can’t express how much I enjoy this show. I look forward to more seasons of Doc Martin as long as the actors and producers are willing.

  18. I belong to a Facebook group associated with Martin Clune and The Doc Martin crew. They are in Cornwall now shooting season 9. The photos are terrific. So many photos of all the actors. Season 9 is date yet..
They basically have to close the whole town down the businesses they use to film certain segments. And The Surgery can be rented out..very interesting facts I have found. Can’t wait..

  19. I am addicted to the Doc Martin Show. There is so much interplay between characters, all the human emotions are intact. The “will he kiss her?” the suspense is suburb. Will Doc ever just hold her, long enough to catch our breath! It’s the excitement and romance between Doc and L. I do also love to see the landscape of England, the country roads, the hills and valleys, and of course the ocean. I live in Palm Bay, Florida, and was at a party the other night. Who would ever be there, but two Brits. Oh, did we ever have a good time discussing the show, and listening to their native tongue. I know the show has to stop sometime, but prayerfully it will continue on and on and on. Love to you all. bjp
