Paramount+ has just released a fresh trailer for the second season of its military drama, Lioness.
Created by Taylor Sheridan and inspired by a real U.S. Military program, the show follows CIA station chief Joe McNamara (Zoe Saldaña) as she juggles her personal life and her dangerous job in the war on terror.

Returning cast members include Laysla De Oliveira, Nicole Kidman, Morgan Freeman, Michael Kelly, Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Austin Hébert, Jonah Wharton, Thad Luckinbill, and Hannah Love Lanier.

Season 2 introduces Bruce McGill as NSA Chief Damian Hollar, Jennifer Ehle as Chief of Staff Mason, and Genesis Rodriguez as Captain Josephina “Josie” Carillo. In the trailer, Josie faces moral dilemmas during a military mission. Joe repeatedly asks her, “Do you love your country?”

“It’s a strange relationship,” Zoe Saldaña shared with People.com. “There’s a lot of mistrust from the beginning.”
Fans were thrilled when Lioness became Paramount+’s most-watched worldwide series premiere in July 2023 with nearly six million viewers in its first week.
