Get ready for a magical return! Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, the follow-up to the beloved Wizards of Waverly Place, is almost here on Disney Channel and Disney+.
The new series will kick off with a two-episode premiere on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 8/7c on Disney Channel. The next day, Wednesday, Oct. 30, another two episodes will air. After that, new episodes will come out every Friday at 8 pm starting Nov. 8.
If you like to watch everything at once, you’ll be happy to know that the first eight episodes of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place will be available for streaming on Disney+ and Disney Channel On Demand starting Oct. 30.

The original show aired from 2007 to 2012 and starred Selena Gomez and David Henrie as siblings Alex and Justin Russo, who were always trying to become the family wizard. The show also featured Jake T. Austin as their brother Max, Jennifer Stone as Alex’s best friend Harper, and David DeLuise and Maria Canals-Barrera as their parents.
In Beyond Waverly Place, we catch up with Justin 12 years later. He didn’t win the wizard contest and now lives a normal life with his family—until Alex shows up needing help with a special request that brings magic back into Justin’s life in a big way.

Who is in the Cast of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place?
David Henrie returns as Justin Russo! Joining him are Mimi Gianopulos as his wife Giada, Alkaio Thiele as their older son Roman, Max Matenko as their younger son Milo, Janice LeAnn Brown as a young wizard named Billie, and Taylor Cora as Billie’s best friend Winter.
What Role Will Selena Gomez Play?
Selena Gomez is an executive producer along with Henrie but is only confirmed to guest-star as Alex in the premiere episode. She might appear more later but won’t be a regular cast member.
Are Other Original Cast Members Returning?
Besides Henrie and Gomez, David DeLuise is set to return as Jerry Russo. It’s still unclear if Jake T. Austin (Max), Jennifer Stone (Harper), or Maria Canals-Barrera (Theresa) will make appearances.
What’s the Plot of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place?
Justin decided to live a normal life without magic until Alex arrives needing help with Billie, a young wizard. This forces Justin to use his magical skills again while managing his daily life and protecting the future of the Wizard World. Oh Justin, always juggling so much!
Where Can I Watch the Original Series?
If you want to rewatch or catch up on the original series before diving into the new one, all four seasons (106 episodes) are available on Disney+. You can also watch Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie from 2009 and The Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex special from 2013.
