CTV has renewed the police procedural Wild Cards for two additional seasons, the Canadian network announced Tuesday. The series’ fate on The CW, where it currently airs in the U.S., remains undetermined.
The renewal guarantees the production of a second and third season for the Canadian-produced drama, which stars Vanessa Morgan (Riverdale) and Giacomo Gianniotti (Grey’s Anatomy) as an unlikely crime-solving duo.
Wild Cards follows the story of a con woman forced to work alongside a straight-laced cop to solve crimes in exchange for staying out of jail. The series premiered on CTV in January 2024 before making its U.S. debut on The CW in March.
The CW has not yet announced whether it will continue airing the series for its upcoming seasons.
Created by Michael Konyves, the procedural is produced by Brightlight Pictures in association with Bell Media for CTV. Executive producers include Shawn Williamson, Jamie Goehring, and Konyves.
The first season finale is scheduled to air on CTV later this spring.
