– Season 10 of When Calls the Heart delayed due to IATSE strike
– Series expected to return in February 2023
– Producers hope to create five more seasons
The production of the immensely popular TV series, When Calls the Heart, has been delayed due to the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) strike. Initially, the show was supposed to release in 2022, but now fans will have to wait until February 2023 to watch Season 10.
The IATSE strike, which began in October 2021, had a significant impact on the American entertainment industry. Many productions were halted, and the industry faced various challenges due to labor disputes. As a result, the filming of popular shows like When Calls the Heart faced significant setbacks, forcing the Hallmark Channel to reschedule its releases.
Brian Bird, co-creator and executive producer of the show, outlined the impact on the production schedule, stating that it would be pushed five months, so “instead of 2022, we will be returning to Hope Valley in February of 2023.” Despite the delay, Bird reassured fans that the storyline will continue to develop and incorporate new elements, adding that the show’s producers “hope to bring you at least five more seasons.”
Season 10 of When Calls the Heart is all set to pick up from where Season 9 left off, and will continue to follow the lives of the residents of Hope Valley, maintaining its tradition of heart-warming stories and strong sense of community.
