Tracker Season 2 Trailer Teases Jensen Ackles Return

After months of waiting, fans finally get a sneak peek at Tracker Season 2.

Since the first season finale aired four months ago, anticipation has been building. Now, CBS has released a trailer showcasing Justin Hartley returning as Colter Shaw, America’s favorite hero. The trailer also features Jensen Ackles as Colter’s brother Russell and Sofia Pernas as Billie Matalon.

Robin Weigert, who played Teddi Bruin in the first season, won’t be back as a regular. However, Abby McEnany will return as Velma, Teddi’s wife and Colter’s fellow handler. The premiere episode teases what Velma will do now without her partner:

While investigating the strange disappearance of a missing family whose car was found abandoned on the side of the road in the backwoods of Arkansas, Colter makes a shocking discovery about the mother’s past that leads him into the world of organized crime. Also, Reenie opens up her new law firm and enlists Velma’s help in setting up shop.

Season 2, Episode 1: “Out of the Past”

The series Tracker is based on Jeffery Deaver’s book The Never Game. It stars Hartley as Colter Shaw, a survivalist who travels around solving mysteries with his tracking skills. He helps both private citizens and law enforcement.

In Season 1, Colter was aided by Teddi and Velma in tracking down cases. Bobby (Eric Graise) provided tech support from afar, while Reenie (Fiona Rene), his friend and lawyer, helped whenever legal troubles arose.

Colter also dealt with family issues and a conspiracy linked to his late father. Guest stars from Season 1 like Melissa Roxburgh (Dory), Wendy Crewson (Mary), and Jensen Ackles (Russell) are set to return for the new season.

Fans love how this show keeps them on their toes.

The second season of Tracker will start on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 8/7c on CBS. Don’t miss it!
