Tito Jackson, Jackson 5 Member, Dies at 70

Musician Tito Jackson, a founding member of the Jackson 5 and brother of the late Michael Jackson, has passed away at age 70.

According to

?hl=en">Entertainment Tonight, Tito died on Sunday. A close family friend, Steve Manning, mentioned that he believes Tito might have had a heart attack while driving, though the exact cause hasn’t been confirmed yet.

Tito became famous as part of the Jackson 5, which included his brothers Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael. They were a big hit in the ’60s through the ’80s with songs like “ABC,” “I Want You Back,” and “I’ll Be There.” The group later included their youngest brother Randy and earned three Grammy nominations. They were also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.

In 1976, Tito and his siblings starred in a CBS variety show called The Jacksons. This show featured musical performances by the family, including sisters Rebbie, La Toya, and Janet. It lasted for one season with twelve episodes.

Tito pursued a solo career later on. He released an album called Tito Time in 2016 and another one titled Under Your Spell in 2021. Before he passed away, he was still performing with his brothers Jackie and Marlon as The Jacksons. They had shows planned for October 25 in Atlantic City and November 1 in Cincinnati.

We always admired how dedicated he was to his music career.

It’s sad to see such a talented musician leave us.
