Apple TV+ has decided to cancel Time Bandits after just one season.
Based on the 1981 movie by Terry Gilliam, Time Bandits is about an 11-year-old named Kevin (Kal-El Tuck) who loves history. He ends up traveling through different eras with a quirky group of thieves, having amazing adventures. Lisa Kudrow played Penelope, Charlyne Yi was Judy, and Kiera Thompson was Kevin’s sister, Saffron.
Taika Waititi co-created the show with Jemaine Clement and Iain Morris. Waititi also acted as the Supreme Being, while Clement took on the role of Pure Evil. (By the way, What We Do in the Shadows is wrapping up with its sixth season this October.)
The show premiered on Apple TV+ in July, releasing two episodes each week until its finale on August 21. The series ends with a total of 10 episodes.
Sometimes, fans feel sad when good shows end too soon.
It’s always a bummer when a promising show gets cut short.
