The early renewal signals the streaming platform’s continued confidence in the Emmy Award-winning series starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, who both serve as executive producers.
The Morning Show has become one of Apple’s most prestigious original productions since its debut in 2019, garnering critical acclaim and multiple industry awards.
The drama, which explores the cutthroat world of morning television and the power dynamics within the media industry, has evolved significantly since its first season. What began as an examination of workplace misconduct has expanded to tackle numerous contemporary issues including the COVID-19 pandemic and corporate ethics.
Season 3 concluded in November 2023, leaving viewers with several unresolved storylines as characters navigated personal and professional crises.
Production on the fourth season is currently underway, though Apple has not yet announced an official premiere date. Industry sources expect the new season to debut in late 2024.
The series boasts an ensemble cast that includes Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Greta Lee, and Jon Hamm, who joined in the the third season.
Michael Ellenberg’s Media Res produces the series, with Charlotte Stoudt serving as showrunner and executive producer. Kerry Ehrin, who developed the series, remains attached as a consultant.
