The CW has picked up Sullivan’s Crossing for a fourth season, the network announced Tuesday. The renewal comes ahead of the drama’s third season premiere.
The series, based on Robyn Carr’s bestselling novels, stars Morgan Kohan as Maggie Sullivan, a neurosurgeon who returns to her hometown after a professional crisis. Chad Michael Murray (One Tree Hill) co-stars as Cal Jones, alongside Scott Patterson (Gilmore Girls) who plays Maggie’s estranged father Sully.
Sullivan’s Crossing represents one of the network’s steady performers in its current programming strategy focused on acquired content and cost-effective original productions.
Roma Roth and Christopher E. Perry serve as executive producers for the series, which is produced by Reel World Management in association with CTV and Fremantle.
The show’s second season concluded with Maggie making significant personal and professional decisions that will shape the upcoming storylines.
Season 3 is scheduled to premiere later this year, though The CW has not yet announced a specific date.
The renewal announcement follows the network’s recent programming shifts under Nexstar Media Group ownership, which has prioritized broader audience appeal and financial sustainability over the the teen-focused content that previously defined the network.
