Stick Renewed for Season 2 at Apple TV+ Plus Grade Season 1

Apple TV+ has officially renewed Stick for a second season, the streaming platform announced Thursday. The renewal comes just weeks after the conclusion of the show’s freshman run.

The drama series, which follows a group of urban explorers navigating both physical and emotional challenges, has garnered significant viewership since its debut earlier this year.

“We’re thrilled with the response to Stick and excited to continue this journey with our incredible cast and creative team,” said Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV+. “The story is just beginning.”

The series stars James Marsden (Westworld, Jury Duty) as former military specialist Alex Harding alongside Emmy-nominated actress Regina King (Watchmen) as psychologist Dr. Maya Chen. The ensemble cast includes breakout performer Liza Colón-Zayas and veteran character actor Giancarlo Esposito.

Created by showrunner David Weil (Hunters), the series explores themes of isolation, connection, and survival in an increasingly fragmented world. Executive producers include Weil, Jordan Peele, and Win Rosenfeld through Monkeypaw Productions.

Production on Season 2 is scheduled to begin in early 2024, with an anticipated premiere date in late fall.

Stick joins Apple TV+‘s growing slate of drama renewals, including recent pickups for Severance, Pachinko, and Slow Horses.

The complete first season of Stick is currently available to stream on Apple TV+.
