Stephen Amell, Arrow Cast Reunion amidst SAG-AFTRA Strike, Actors Join Picket Line

– Actor Stephen Amell faces criticism for potential participation in upcoming SAG-AFTRA strike
– Amell supports SAG-AFTRA and striking workers, but does not commit to joining picket line
– Former “Arrow” co-star Colton Haynes shows disappointment in Amell’s lack of clearer commitment

Stephen Amell, the star of the long-running television show “Arrow” and upcoming series “Heels,” could potentially be in hot water for his stance on the looming SAG-AFTRA strike. In a recent podcast, the actor mentioned that he had been instructed not to cross the picket line by others in his union. While Amell clarified that he supports SAG-AFTRA and striking workers, he has not specifically committed to joining the picket line himself.

The SAG-AFTRA union is currently in the process of voting on a strike authorization after unsuccessful attempts at negotiating a new film and television contract. If the strike proceeds, it could have a large impact on the industry, halting production for a number of projects.

Amell’s former “Arrow” co-star Colton Haynes expressed disappointment in his lack of a clearer commitment to joining the picket line. “I think it’s important for all of the young actors… to understand that it’s not just about our contracts,” he said. “It’s about supporting all of our union brothers and sisters. So the best way to support them… is to not work.”

In response, Amell took to social media to reiterate his position, stating that he had been misquoted and is in support of his “union brothers and sisters.” However, he did not explicitly commit to participating in the strike or picket line.
