Shannon Sharpe Admits Instagram Live Sex Act, Apologizes – Watch Video

Shannon Sharpe recently made a big mistake on Instagram Live.

On Wednesday, while hanging out with a woman, the three-time Super Bowl winner accidentally went live on Instagram. His 3.2 million followers saw nothing but a wooden floor, but they could hear everything that was happening for nearly two minutes before the video ended.

Right after this, Sharpe claimed on his Instagram Story that his account had been hacked and his team was working hard to fix it. However, a few hours later, on his web-series Nightcap, he admitted the truth.

“Something happened today,” he started. “I’m really embarrassed.” He mentioned being a very private person and felt bad that such a personal moment was broadcasted for everyone to hear.

He added, “A lot of people expect me to be professional always. I try to be professional even in private. I’m disappointed in myself, not because of the act itself—many adults do such things—but because it became public. I let people down.”

Sharpe also made it clear that this wasn’t planned. “I threw my phone on the bed and didn’t know it went live,” he said. He explained that he had never used IG Live before and didn’t know how it worked. His phone kept buzzing until Jamie Fritz, his marketing guy, finally reached him.

Fans understand that mistakes happen and sometimes technology can be tricky.

“My heart sank,” Sharpe admitted. “I called my agent, my agency, and ESPN to tell them the truth. My phone wasn’t hacked; it wasn’t a prank. It was just me being a normal guy… I’m really embarrassed that such a private moment was heard by others.”
