– “Secret Invasion” series to reportedly cost $212 million
– Apple’s “Barbie” movie is expected to have a $98 million budget

The upcoming Marvel series “Secret Invasion” is expected to have a budget of $212 million, making it one of the most expensive television productions ever. Additionally, Apple’s “Barbie” live-action film is slated to have a $98 million budget, while the upcoming “Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania” is set to cost $200 million.

“Secret Invasion” is a limited series that will premiere on Disney+ and stars Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, and Olivia Colman. Its immense budget is attributed to its action-packed content and ties to the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) storylines. The series is expected to debut in 2023.

Apple Studios’ “Barbie” movie, starring Margot Robbie in the titular role, will be directed by Greta Gerwig and is set to release in 2023 as well. The film is based on the iconic Barbie doll and is expected to be a major film for the streaming platform.

Lastly, “Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania” is the third installment in the Ant-Man series, starring Paul Rudd as Ant-Man and Evangeline Lilly as The Wasp. The film’s estimated $200 million budget is on par with the budget of other MCU films. Directed by Peyton Reed, it is slated for a July 28, 2023 release with Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer also reprising their roles. The movie will introduce Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror, a new villain in the MCU.
