MTV has officially renewed RuPaul’s Drag Race for Season 18, while Paramount+ has ordered an eleventh installment of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars.
The flagship series will continue its run on MTV after successfully transitioning from VH1 last year. Meanwhile, All Stars remains a Paramount+ exclusive, where it has consistently performed as one of the streaming platform’s top unscripted titles.
RuPaul Charles will return as host and executive producer for both series, continuing his reign as the most-awarded host in Emmy history with eight consecutive wins for Outstanding Host.
The renewal comes as RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 17 prepares to crown its champion. The current season finale airs Friday, with finalists Nymphia Wind, Plane Jane, Sapphira Cristál and Xunami Muse competing for the title of “America’s Next Drag Superstar” and the $200,000 grand prize.
All Stars 9 is currently streaming on Paramount+, featuring a cast of returning queens competing for a spot in the “Drag Race Hall of Fame” and a $200,000 prize.
World of Wonder produces both series, with Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, Tom Campbell, and RuPaul Charles serving as executive producers. Additional executive producers include Mandy Salangsang, Michelle Visage, and Alicia Gargaro-Magaña.
The Drag Race franchise has expanded globally with international versions now airing in over 15 countries, including the UK, Canada, Spain, France, and the Philippines.
