In an interview, Brown spoke about how he felt after seeing the list of 2021 Emmy nominees and noticing that Jones’ name was on it. Brown said, “I felt like, ‘Yeah, that’s my dad!’” He described feeling a sense of pride in being a “part of something that would lead to him getting recognized in this way.” Jones has previously won an Emmy for his role in 2018 and received another nomination in 2019.
