Netflix’s live-action adaptation of the popular manga and anime series, One Piece, has been renewed for a second season even before the first season has premiered. One Piece follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his crew of diverse pirates as they search for the ultimate treasure, known as “One Piece,” in order to become the Pirate King. The anime adaptation has aired over 1,000 episodes and remains a beloved fan favorite.

Steven Maeda serves as the showrunner on the live-action series, while Matt Owens takes charge as the writer. The two also act as executive producers alongside Eiichiro Oda, Marty Adelstein, and Becky Clements. The first season consists of ten episodes, but there is no official release date as of yet.
