– Nicole Scherzinger departs from The Masked Singer
– Rita Ora will replace Scherzinger as a judge
– The show’s eleventh season will have a new panelist
Nicole Scherzinger is stepping away from her role as a judge on the hit reality competition show “The Masked Singer.” The former Pussycat Dolls lead singer has been part of the judging panel since the show’s inception in 2019. Instead, British singer and actress Rita Ora will be taking Scherzinger’s place as a judge for the eleventh season of the show.
According to sources, Scherzinger, who starred in the first ten seasons of the widely popular Fox series, is leaving the show due to other work commitments. It seems her decision to leave was amicable, and the show’s team holds no ill will towards the singer.
Rita Ora, who will replace Scherzinger, is no stranger to reality TV judging, having previously been a panelist on “The X Factor” and “The Voice UK.” She is also well-known for her singing career with multiple hit singles. In an official statement, the executive producer of “The Masked Singer,” Craig Plestis stated, “We couldn’t be happier to have her [Ora] shine on our stage.”
Scherzinger’s departure follows the exit of fellow panelist Nick Cannon, who recently left the successful show after hosting for eight seasons. The upcoming eleventh season promises a new panelist lineup and more mystery performances viewers love.
