Paramount+ has renewed crime drama MobLand for a second season, the streamer announced Tuesday.
The renewal comes as the series continues to build momentum following its debut season.
MobLand follows the brutal power struggles within an organized crime syndicate as federal agents work to dismantle the operation from the inside. The series stars Michael Chiklis (The Shield) as crime boss Vincent Cormack alongside Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost) and Joseph Sikora (Power).
“We’re thrilled with the audience response to MobLand and excited to continue this journey,” said Jeff Grossman, Executive Vice President of Programming at Paramount+. “The creative team has delivered a compelling crime drama that resonates with viewers.”
Created by Robert Munic (Empire, Ice), the series is executive produced by Munic alongside Taylor Sheridan, David C. Glasser, and Ron Burkle.
Production on season two is expected to begin later this year with a 2025 premiere targeted. The complete first season is currently available to stream on Paramount+.
The renewal adds to the streamer’s growing slate of original drama series, which includes Tulsa King, Mayor of Kingstown, and the upcoming Lioness season two.
