Mistletoe Murders Renewed for Season 2 at Hallmark+

Hallmark+ has renewed its original mystery series Mistletoe Murders for a second season, the streaming platform announced Wednesday.

The holiday-themed whodunit, which became one of the streamer’s most-watched original series since its December debut, will return with new episodes.

Mistletoe Murders follows small-town detective Sarah Collins (Lacey Chabert, Mean Girls) as she investigates a series of crimes that occur during the Christmas season in the fictional town of Pine Hollow.

The renewal comes after the freshman season’s finale delivered the platform’s highest single-day viewership for an original series.

“Viewers have embraced the unique blend of holiday charm and compelling mystery that defines Mistletoe Murders,” said Emily Mercer, Vice President of Development at Hallmark Media. “We’re excited to bring fans back to Pine Hollow for another season of intrigue.”

The series was created by Michael Reisz (Good Witch) who serves as executive producer alongside Jonathan Axelrod and Susanne Daniels.

Production on the second season is expected to begin this summer, with a targeted holiday 2024 release window.
