Midnight Sun Netflix Series Announced with a Twist

Netflix has just revealed that they are making an animated series of Stephenie Meyer’s 2020 book, Midnight Sun.

In Midnight Sun, we see the story of Twilight but from Edward Cullen’s point of view instead of Bella Swan’s. Remember Robert Pattinson as Edward and Kristen Stewart as Bella in the movies? This time, it will be animated.

The original Twilight movies were live-action and had lots of sparkle. But guess what? The new series is going to be animated!

Last year, when they first talked about making this TV series, no one thought it would be animated. It was only this March that people started saying it wouldn’t be live-action. And now Netflix has given it the green light!

This show is being made by Lionsgate Television, with Stephenie Meyer as an executive producer. She’s joined by Meghan Hibbett, writer Sinead Daly, Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, Erik Feig, and Samie Kim Falvey.

The first Twilight movie came out in November 2008, and then we got New Moon in 2009, Eclipse in 2010, Breaking Dawn — Part 1 in 2011, and Breaking Dawn — Part 2 in 2012.

Fans love seeing new takes on their favorite stories.

It’s pretty exciting to think about how Midnight Sun will look as a cartoon. Maybe it’ll have a whole new kind of magic!
