Maxton Hall Gets Early Season 3 Renewal at Amazon: Stars Share News

Amazon has renewed Maxton Hall for a third season — ahead of the show’s Season 2 premiere.

The streaming platform announced the early pickup on Thursday, with the teen drama’s stars breaking the news to fans in a video message.

Maxton Hall, based on the bestselling novels by Mona Kasten, follows the forbidden romance between scholarship student Ruby Bell (Harriet Herbig-Matten) and wealthy campus elite James Beaufort (Damian Hardung).

The series has quickly become one of Amazon Prime Video’s most successful German original productions since its debut.

“We’re thrilled to continue this journey with our incredible cast and crew,” said Philip Pratt, Head of German Originals at Amazon MGM Studios. “The fan response has been overwhelming, and we can’t wait to bring viewers more of Ruby and James’s story.”

Season 2 is currently in production and expected to premiere in early 2025. The renewal announcement comes as a strong vote of confidence in the series, which has garnered significant international viewership.

Herbig-Matten and Hardung shared their excitement in the announcement video, with Hardung noting, “We’re just getting started with Season 2 and already know we’ll be back for more.”

The early renewal follows Amazon’s strategy of backing successful international content that resonates with global audiences.

No premiere date for Season 3 has been announced.
