Landman Renewed for Season 2 at Paramount+

Paramount+ has renewed Landman for a second season, the streamer announced Tuesday. The renewal comes ahead of the Billy Bob Thornton-led drama’s first season finale, scheduled to air on January 19.

The Taylor Sheridan-created series, based on the podcast “Boomtown,” follows crisis management fixer Monty Miller (Thornton) as he navigates the high-stakes world of the West Texas oil industry.

“The audience response to Landman has been phenomenal,” said Jeff Grossman, Executive Vice President of Programming at Paramount+. “Taylor Sheridan has once again created an immersive and captivating world that viewers can’t get enough of.”

The series has become one of the platform’s most successful original dramas since its November premiere.

Landman also stars Ali Larter, Michelle Randolph, Jacob Lofland, Kayla Wallace, James Jordan, Mark Collie, and Paulina Chávez. Jon Hamm and Demi Moore appear in recurring roles.

Sheridan serves as executive producer alongside David C. Glasser, David Hutkin, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, Christian Wallace, Geyer Kosinski, and Michael Friedman. The series is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios.

The first season finale, titled “The Good Old Days,” will debut on Paramount+ on January 19, with production on the the second season expected to begin later this year.
