Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are getting ready for their first big interview with CNN after being nominated to lead the Democratic ticket in this year’s presidential race.
This Thursday at 9/8c, Vice President Harris and Governor Walz will sit down with CNN’s Dana Bash for their first joint interview since the campaign started. CNN announced this on Tuesday. This is also Harris’s first long TV interview since she took over as the Democratic party’s nominee from President Joe Biden last month.
The pair recently accepted their nominations at the Democratic National Convention. You can watch Harris’ acceptance speech here. It has been a crazy campaign ever since Biden stepped down and supported Harris as his replacement. Earlier this month, she chose Walz, Minnesota’s governor, to be her vice-presidential pick.
We hope they do well in their interview!
Harris will go head-to-head with Donald Trump, the Republican nominee and former president, in their first debate on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 9/8c on ABC. On Tuesday, Oct. 1, Walz will debate JD Vance, Trump’s running mate, on CBS.
