Jamie Dornan Cast in Netflix Series ‘The Undertow’ as Twins

Double Jamie Dornan, double the drama. That’s the promise.

The actor, known for roles in *The Tourist*, *The Fall*, and *Once Upon a Time*, is taking on a dual role. He’ll play identical twins in Netflix’s crime noir series, *The Undertow*. Quite the twist, huh?

The cast also features Mackenzie Davis from *Station Eleven*, Iain De Caestecker of *Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.*, and Gary Lewis from *Vigil*. A stellar lineup, if you ask me.

*The Undertow* draws inspiration from the Norwegian series *Twin*. Here’s the scoop: Nicola, stuck in a loveless marriage with Adam (both played by Dornan), finds her world turned upside down. Adam’s estranged twin, Lee, re-enters her life, bringing past romantic turmoil to the surface. Following a tragic accident, Nicola is forced to protect her children. Over a tense week, Lee and Nicola, entangled in secrets and lies, confront their unresolved feelings. They’re well aware, though, that time is not on their side.

Ready for some more newsy nuggets? Well…

*Shetland* fans, rejoice! The BBC crime drama is set for Seasons 9 and 10. Ashley Jensen will return as DI Ruth Calder. And yes, these seasons will be available Stateside via BritBox.

In casting news, Zosia Mamet, Michael Angarano, and Tommy Martinez will join Stephanie Hsu in Peacock’s comedy series *Laid*. Sounds intriguing, doesn’t it?

Netflix’s *Pulse*, a medical procedural with Justina Machado, adds Willa Fitzgerald and Colin Woodell to its cast. Carlton Cuse is at the helm as executive producer.

Jimmy Fallon made an announcement on *The Tonight Show*. He’s co-hosting the Olympics Closing Ceremony in Paris this summer alongside NBC‘s Mike Tirico. Should be fun, right?
