Fall TV Premieres Delayed by VP Debate

The Fall TV premiere season is getting a shake-up because of the vice presidential debate.

Tim Walz and JD Vance agreed to a debate this fall, both accepting CBS News’ invite for Tuesday, Oct. 1.

So far, only Fox has officially changed its schedule for that night. They pushed the Season 2 premiere of Accused to Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 8/7c. (Hey, you waited this long….)

The new mystery drama Murder in a Small Town with Kristin Kreuk will still air its second episode on Oct. 1 at 8 pm, just before the debate.

ABC still plans to air Dancing With the Stars Season 33 on Oct. 1, and NBC has The Voice Season 26 followed by The Irrational’s Season 2 premiere.

We think fans might see some more changes soon.

The CW is sticking with its plan to launch WWE NXT live from Chicago that night, moving it from USA Network.

The 2024 Election debate season starts on Tuesday, Sept. 10. Former President Trump will face Vice President Harris for the first time, moderated by David Muir and Linsey Davis at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia.
