Drew Barrymore Vows to Maintain Physical Distance on Talk Show

Drew Barrymore is promising to give her talk show guests more personal space.

In a chat with Entertainment Tonight, Drew talked about her show’s renewal and mentioned she’d try to keep some distance from her guests in the next season. People have often joked about how close she gets, like holding hands or touching their arms during interviews. She admitted, “I will try to practice physical distance… which is not my strong point!”

Drew explained why she likes getting so close. Her show started in September 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic. She said, “Do you know how hard the pandemic was for me? I was alone in a studio by myself! I like to be around people!” She knows not everyone likes it when she gets all touchy-feely and said, “I’m sorry to those people!”

The Drew Barrymore Show, known for its celebrity chats and heartwarming stories, just got the green light for Season 6. It will run until the 2025-26 season and is set to start on Monday, Sept. 9.

We understand why Drew feels this way; being alone is tough.

Fans are looking forward to seeing what changes she’ll bring to the next season!
