Peacock has secured Days of Our Lives for two additional seasons, extending the iconic daytime drama’s run on the streaming platform through 2028.
The multi-season renewal comes as the long-running soap continues to find success in its streaming home after transitioning from broadcast television.
Days of Our Lives made the historic move from NBC to Peacock in September 2022 after airing on network television for nearly six decades. The series has maintained its loyal fanbase throughout the platform transition.
The renewal guarantees that the soap opera — which celebrated its 58th anniversary in November — will continue its remarkable run as one of television’s longest-running scripted programs.
Executive producer Ken Corday, whose family has been involved with the series since its inception, expressed gratitude for the continued support from both the streamer and viewers.
“The passionate fanbase has followed us to Peacock, and we’re thrilled to continue delivering compelling storytelling for years to come,” Corday said in a statement.
Days of Our Lives follows the interconnected lives of the Brady, Horton, and DiMera families in the fictional town of Salem. The series continues to balance its legacy characters with new additions to keep storylines fresh for longtime and new viewers alike.
The soap currently airs new episodes weekdays on Peacock, with the the platform’s subscribers having access to the complete episode library.
