Chicago Fire, Med and P.D. Renewed at NBC

NBC has renewed its entire “One Chicago” franchise for the 2024-25 broadcast season, the network announced Thursday. Chicago Fire will return for Season 13, while Chicago Med and Chicago P.D. have been picked up for Seasons 10 and 12, respectively.

The trio of Dick Wolf-produced dramas continues to deliver strong ratings for the network in their Wednesday night block.

Chicago Med — which stars S. Epatha Merkerson, Oliver Platt, Marlyne Barrett and Steven Weber — has averaged 6.3 million viewers this season.

Chicago Fire remains the franchise’s top performer with 6.5 million viewers. The series features Taylor Kinney, David Eigenberg, Eamonn Walker, Miranda Rae Mayo, Daniel Kyri, Hanako Greensmith and Jake Lockett.

Closing out the Wednesday lineup, Chicago P.D. draws 5.8 million viewers across platforms. The police procedural stars Jason Beghe, Patrick John Flueger, Marina Squerciati, LaRoyce Hawkins, Amy Morton and Benjamin Levy Aguilar.

All three Chicago series are produced by Universal Television in association with Wolf Entertainment. Dick Wolf serves as executive producer across the franchise, alongside various showrunners for each individual series.

The renewals come as part of NBC‘s broader programming strategy, which has increasingly relied on Wolf’s stable of procedural dramas to anchor its schedule.

The current seasons of all three shows will continue airing Wednesday nights through their respective season finales later this spring.
