Brady Bunch House Sale: HGTV’s Final Amount and Loss

– HGTV bought the Brady Bunch house in 2018 for $3.5 million, a price far above the asking price
– They spent about $423,000 on renovations to make it look like the set of the popular TV show
– The current asking price for the house is $3.25 million, a potential $670,000 loss for HGTV

In 2018, HGTV purchased the iconic house from “The Brady Bunch” for a whopping $3.5 million, which was far beyond its original asking price. According to a recent report, the network not only bought the house at a premium but also spent around $423,000 on restorations to match its interior to the set of the popular TV series.

However, HGTV is now putting the house up for sale for $3.25 million. This means that if the property is sold at this price, the network would face a loss of nearly $670,000.

The renovated house was the main focus of HGTV’s “A Very Brady Renovation”, where the cast of “The Brady Bunch” reunited to help turn the house into an exact replica of the original set. “It took a lot of searching, but I think we found the ideal couple to work with, in order to tell the story of the ‘Brady Bunch’ house and to create a show that is as much about the process of renovating it as it is about its eventual completion,” said host Jasmine Roth in an HGTV press release.

Despite the potential financial loss, the sale of the Brady Bunch house enables the fans of the classic show to own a piece of television history.
