HBO Max’s “And Just Like That…” is returning for a third season. This Max Original series has officially been renewed, with its premiere set for February 2023. The show features actresses Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis.
In a statement announcing the news, Sarah Aubrey, head of Original Content at HBO Max, said, “The excitement for a new chapter of this treasured story was met with overwhelming enthusiasm and affection from both audiences and critics alike.” She added that the ongoing story of “our beloved New York City heroines” demonstrates the city’s resilience and highlights the unique friendship among the three female protagonists.
The series follows Parker, Nixon, and Davis as they reprise their iconic roles as Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes, and Charlotte York, respectively. This new edition of the popular franchise is written by Michael Patrick King, who also serves as an executive producer.
The show’s first season premiered on December 9th, 2021, and received critical acclaim as well as audience approval, particularly for its focus on the core cast’s choice of female friendships and the ensemble’s evolution over the years.
“And Just Like That…” has been lauded for tackling the tough topic of Big’s (Chris Noth) exit and the introduction of a new character, Lisa Todd Wexley (Nicole Ari Parker), seamlessly fitting in with the existing ensemble.
Fans of the show can look forward to following the beloved characters’ continued journey into third season, with the renewal news confirming that the excitement and love for the show is still going strong.
