American Ninja Warrior Renewed for Season 18: New Competition Details Revealed

NBC has officially renewed American Ninja Warrior for Season 18, continuing the long-running athletic competition series for the 2025-2026 broadcast season.

The obstacle course competition will return with hosts Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila, alongside sideline reporter Zuri Hall, as contestants tackle increasingly difficult challenges in pursuit of the coveted title and $1 million prize.

Season 18 will introduce several format modifications to the competition structure, though specific details remain under wraps.

“The continued success of American Ninja Warrior speaks to the extraordinary athletic talent and compelling personal stories that resonate with our audience,” said Jenny Groom, Executive Vice President of Alternative Programming at NBC.

The series — co-produced by A. Smith & Co. Productions and Universal Television Alternative Studio — has maintained strong viewership across multiple demographics despite facing increasing competition in the reality competition space.

Season 17 of American Ninja Warrior is currently airing Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT, with the season finale scheduled for September. The renewal announcement comes as the current season enters its final qualifying rounds before the national finals in Las Vegas.

Last season’s champion, Kaden Lebsack, became the youngest winner in the show’s history at just 17 years old.

American Ninja Warrior continues to expand its international presence with versions of the format now airing in over 20 countries worldwide.
