Fox has renewed its entire Animation Domination lineup, bringing American Dad! back to the network while securing new seasons for The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, and Family Guy.
The Seth MacFarlane-created American Dad! will return to Fox after spending the last nine years on TBS. The series has been renewed for four additional seasons as part of the multi-show deal.
The Simpsons — television’s longest-running scripted series — received a two-season renewal, extending its historic run through Season 38.
Both Family Guy and Bob’s Burgers secured two-season renewals as well, with Family Guy continuing through Season 24 and Bob’s Burgers through Season 16.
“These four iconic animated shows continue to be the bedrock of our Animation Domination lineup,” said Michael Thorn, President of Scripted Programming at Fox Entertainment. “The return of American Dad! to Fox reunites Seth MacFarlane’s cherished creation with its original home.”
American Dad!, which originally premiered on Fox in 2005 before moving to TBS in 2014, follows CIA agent Stan Smith (voiced by MacFarlane) and his unconventional family. The series features the voice talents of Wendy Schaal, Scott Grimes, Rachael MacFarlane, and Dee Bradley Baker.
The Animation Domination programming block has been a Sunday night staple for Fox, consistently delivering strong ratings and cultivating a dedicated fanbase.
All four series are expected to begin their new seasons as part of the network’s 2024-2025 broadcast schedule.
