Alien: Earth Renewed For Season 2 At FX

FX has renewed Alien: Earth for a second season, the network announced Wednesday.

The renewal comes ahead of the sci-fi thriller’s Season 1 finale, which is scheduled to air next month.

Alien: Earth, the latest installment in the iconic franchise, has become one of FX‘s most-watched original series since its premiere in early 2024. The show has averaged over 2.3 million viewers per episode across all platforms.

"The response to Alien: Earth has exceeded our expectations," said John Landgraf, Chairman of FX Content and FX Productions. "We’re thrilled to continue exploring this terrifying universe with our incredible cast and creative team."

The series stars Sydney Chandler (Pistol) as scientist Kay Faust alongside Alex Lawther (The End of the F***ing World) and Samuel Blenkin (The Sandman). Noah Hawley serves as creator and executive producer.

[Spoiler Alert] Season 1 follows Faust and her colleagues as they encounter a deadly xenomorph specimen on a remote research facility. The the season finale will air on June 12.

Production on Season 2 is expected to begin in early 2025.
