Ray Stevenson, best known for his roles in “Rome” and the “Divergent” series, has been tapped to join the cast of the upcoming “Star Wars” live-action series, “Ahsoka.” As per the original article, Stevenson will portray a character named Robby in the spinoff of “The Mandalorian.” The show, centered around Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka Tano, is expected to debut on Disney+ in 2023.
The plot of “Ahsoka” will follow the former Jedi and survivor of Order 66 as she navigates the galaxy in a time period following the events of “The Mandalorian.” Ahsoka Tano, originally from the animated series “The Clone Wars” and “Rebels,” has become a fan favorite for her resilience, wit, and distinctive look with the Togruta species’ signature lekku and montrals.
In addition to Stevenson, “Ahsoka” has also added “Altered Carbon” star Chris Conner to its star-studded cast, which includes “Game of Thrones” actress Nathalie Emmanuel and “Chernobyl” actor Ivan Rheon. The series will be helmed by “The Mandalorian” creator Jon Favreau, executive producer Dave Filoni, and director Robert Rodriguez.
