ABC Fall TV Schedule Update: Monday Night Football Lineup

ABC releases updated fall lineup
Monday Night Football returning to network
– Dancing with the Stars season 30 premiere date announced

ABC has announced changes to their fall television lineup, due to the return of NFL’s Monday Night Football. According to the network, Monday Night Football will be available for viewers in New York City and Los Angeles on September 20 and 27, which results in adjustments to their Monday night programming.

The upcoming 30th season of Dancing with the Stars will premiere on September 20 at 8 p.m, rather than initially planned 10 p.m. time slot. During the weeks of September 20 and 27, the game show The Chase and the drama show Promised Land are both being pushed to different dates. However, exact dates for these two shows have not yet been revealed.

On September 20, the game show The Hustler will air at 10 p.m., right after Dancing with the Stars. The following week, on September 27, the season finale of The Celebrity Dating Game will air in the same time slot.

The network’s move to include Monday Night Football is noteworthy, as it marks football’s return to the network after being absent for 15 years. ABC will continue to partner with ESPN to air select games throughout the season.

It should be noted that the schedule adjustments will not affect viewers outside of New York City and Los Angeles, with Mondays expected to follow the regular lineup (excluding any live sports or breaking news events).
