Lifetime Movie Sex Scene: Jana Kramer in A Cowboy Christmas Romance

Let’s get the Salt-N-Pepa tunes going. It’s time to talk about sex, baby. More specifically, we’re diving into the groundbreaking horny history that just unfolded on Lifetime. The network aired its first-ever Christmas movie sex scene on a Saturday night.

The steamy scene was part of “A Cowboy Christmas Romance”. The movie stars Jana Kramer of “One Tree Hill” fame. She plays Lexie Crenshaw, a high-powered real estate boss. Lexie has to return to her Arizona hometown, a place she vowed never to revisit, to secure a career-defining account. And guess what? The deal needs to be sealed before Christmas Eve.

Lexie’s only obstacle to a big, fat bonus is a hunky rancher named Coby Mason. Played by Adam Senn from “Hit the Floor”, Coby resists selling his property. His name is a dead giveaway that he’s Lexie’s partner in the sex scene we’re discussing.

The genre-redefining moment happens midway through the film. Lexie and Coby exchange heated glances, basking in the glow of a nearby Christmas tree. Their bubbling sexual tension finally boils over. Coby recklessly swipes away a group of candles to make room for Lexie on the kitchen counter.

A giggle from off camera reminds them they’re not alone. But this train has already left the station. Lexie and Coby two-step over to a nearby barn to finish what they started. Coby dramatically removes his shirt, much to Lexie’s vocal delight, and the two proceed to knock cowboy boots.

From their first kiss to their morning-after in the barn, this much-hyped sequence lasts about 90 seconds. It’s hot enough to land Lifetime on Santa’s naughty list, but also tame enough to avoid the ire of the Parents Television Council.

We probably wouldn’t have given the scene a second thought. But Kramer drew our attention to it during an interview with the film’s writer, Sarah Drew, on her podcast. Kramer said, “Obviously it’s still Lifetime, it’s still family, but it’s pushing limits there, too.” She was surprised the network “didn’t cut anything,” and she’s “so happy that they left it all in there.”

After Kramer’s podcast made the rounds, Lifetime released a statement of support. “We think that there’s an audience out there that’s hungry for grown-up romance, and we’re looking forward to adding some smolder to the usual holiday sugar and spice. We love trying new things, and we’re excited about this new ‘first’ for us for a holiday movie.”
